"Sukka" (sic?)

Leaving Triangle yesterday, I saw these guys framing this structure on the sidewalk. Conversation went like this:
Me: Hey guys, watcha building?
Guy with beard: A Sukka!
Me: What's a Sukka?
Guy: A Jewish hut where we will lock ourselves in for seven days with lots of food and eat!
Me: Is that for the Festival [Dumbo, Brooklyn Under the Bridge Festival]
Guy: Yes! Are you Jewish?
Me: When I'm hungry, can I come?
Guy: Yes!
